Robotically Enhanced Cardiac Surgery

Robotic surgery, computer assisted surgery, and robotically-assisted surgery are terms for technological developments that use robotic systems to aid in surgical procedures. Robotically-assisted surgery was developed to overcome the limitations of minimally-invasive surgery and to enhance the capabilities of surgeons performing open surgery.

Major advances aided by surgical robots have been closed chest heart surgery (without opening the chest), no bone incision and superior cosmetic result.

Due to robotic use, the surgery is done with precision, miniaturization, smaller incisions, decreased blood loss, less pain, and quicker healing time. Articulation beyond normal manipulation and three-dimensional magnification helps resulting in improved ergonomics. Due to these techniques there is a reduced duration of hospital stays, blood loss, transfusions, and use of pain medication

“Closed” Method Aortic Aneurysm Endovascular Stent Treatment...

Endovascular Aortic Surgery is one of the best inventions in Cardiovascular Surgery during recent years. It reduced surgery risks and hospital stay considerably. Before the 2000s, Aortic Surgery was the most severe operation with the highest risk of complications. As technology is developing day by day, now, Aortic Surgeries can be performed with the closed method, easily.

What is Atrial Fibrillation and Ablation Treatment?

Tachycardia and chest tightness is generally found when there is arrhythmia. There are both serious arrhythmia and temporary harmless ones. Our heart beats 100.000-150.000 times a day. When 500 or less of these beats are arrhythmia, it means there is no need for a treatment.
